Settling in

Once you have received confirmation of a nursery place for your child 'settling in' visits will be arranged at your convenience to ensure a smooth introduction into nursery life. We offer as many visits as is necessary for both parents and children to feel happy and secure.

We understand that it is difficult leaving a child in someone else's care and parents are reminded that they can call the nursery at any time and check how their children are.

During a child's first visit parents will complete child information sheets to ensure every child's individual routines and needs are followed. The nursery Manager will also take this opportunity to make you aware of nursery policies and procedures. A copy of nursery policies and procedures is kept in each room with a separate copy located in the entrance hall for parent loan.

When children are ready to move up to the next room regular visits take place to ensure a smooth transition.
