Everything in the baby room has been carefully considered to ensure that we provide the most stimulating environment possible.

At Serendipitys the emphasis is on creating a home from home and with this in mind we endeavour to strictly follow your child’s home routine.

The emphasis in our Baby room, as in all other rooms is to provide loving care. We provide age and development relevant stimulation whilst adhering to the strictest safety and hygiene procedures.

We currently follow the Early Years Foundation Stage from birth through to 5 years old. This details four themes which underpin the care as well as the learning and development opportunities we provide for all children.

At the end of each session parents are given a daily record completed by the child’s keyworker and room head which includes information about milk feeds, meals, sleep times, nappy changes, activities and any other general information.

Parents are regularly invited to cheese and wine evenings to look at their child’s development files, these files are available at any time for parents to look at.

We ask parents to bring in nappies, wipes and cream (if used), ready prepared milk feeds. Milk feeds are clearly labelled and stored in the rooms fridge. All weaning food is prepared by our cook on the premises. We cater for any special dietary requirements or food allergies.
